Pictures of the Recreational Diver Medical Technician Course Day 2:

The students in the DMT course have been practicing on Annie how to do CPR and mouth to mouth resuscitation. We had scenarios where they had to handle a situation by themselves or in a group.

With the use of Oxygen they were able to use a continues flow of O2 connected to the pockets masks as soon as they had revived Annie form her heart failure and the non breathing.

A few of the DMT course members of the team forgot their barriers like gloves or a pocket mask, which are crucial o protect yourself before serving others.

We have opened our new dive shop/facility, which is only one min away from Chalong pier in Phuket, Thailand. Our dive shop has a shop with dive rite equipment, Uwahu dive t-shirts, Apex gear, Megalodon rebreathers, classroom, workplace, wet room, blending station for all sorts of gasses, free coffee and obviously all the different tech courses available.

Dive Medics Facility

Just opposite of our street in Phuket we have found a really nice accommodation which we are going to include in all our tech dive courses, dive medic courses, rebreather courses, cave courses, sidemount courses with TDI, SSI and PADI.

Chalong Pier is where all the dive boats leave from in Phuket. So this means that when you do a course with BLD you will be able to hang out with your fellow students in or outside of our shop, enjoying a nice coffee, watching the other people come by and only walk 20 meters over the the bus that takes you to the end of the pier, 5 min before the dive boat actually leaves.

Yesterday Ben Reymenants from Blue Label Diving and Patrick Schindler from the SSS chamber in Phuket, started a Hyperbaric Chamber tender Operator course with a total of 10 students. A few dive instructors from France, Holland, Germany and Thailand.

This course will last for the next 5 days. The students will learn how to operate the chamber, get more knowledge about decompression illnes, how to examine patients, what to look for, how to treat patients and them selves inside the chamber and probably a flood in the chamber, which they dont know yet.

Blue Label Diving stongly believes that each Dive Instructor, Recreational or Technical should educate them selves more in the Decompression Theory and Medical knowledge.

Dive Instructors and Dive Masters are with Divers every day for at least 4 hours in the water. To see symtoms and be quick to response will help 90% of most decompression sickness patients. Giving 02, getting in contact with a medic, ambulance etc etc is proven to accelerate the healing process.

As a dive instructor or Dive master in Thailand you are able to go with your student into the chamber if you are a Chamber tender Operator. What a personalized treatment for your students.

The chamber can be a little scary if you are the patient, so its much nicer if there is someone with you that you already know instead of a complete stranger.

if you are that instructor or Dive master and you also see the benefits, please contact us at info@bluelabeldiving.com.

The BLD team
